Company car without a lease: what’s in the monthly rate.
A lease rate often looks slim on paper. Then come the insurance, the servicing, the tyres and the bill from the road traffic office. In the aabo vehicle subscription, all of that comes in one rate.
What’s included in the monthly rate?
- Servicing and tyres
- Insurance: liability with a maximum deductible of CHF 3,000. With the comprehensive cover you can add, it’s CHF 500 per claim.
- Swiss motorway vignette
- Vehicle tax
- 24/7 breakdown assistance
On top of that: no mileage limit, and you’re insured in almost all of Europe.
What you pay yourself: fuel or electricity, vignettes abroad and the fines, if you get flashed.
And with leasing?
The lease rate pays for the car. You pay for the rest separately: the comprehensive insurance almost every leasing company requires, the servicing, the tyres, the vignette and the vehicle tax. Often there’s also a down payment, a term of several years, a mileage limit and, at the end, a bill for every scratch.
That can still pay off. You just need to know before you compare rates.
An example from our fleet
The Renault Mégane estate: five seats, room for equipment and a 1.5-litre diesel that uses 4.2 to 4.7 litres per 100 kilometres, depending on the version. With today’s diesel prices, you notice that. The longer you keep it, the lower the monthly rate:
| Rental period | Discount | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| from 2 months | – 5% | CHF 921 |
| from 3 months | – 10% | CHF 872 |
| from 6 months | – 20% | CHF 775 |
| from 1 year | – 35% | CHF 630 |
| from 2 years | – 40% | CHF 581 |
Example: Renault Mégane 4 Kombi from our fleet, base price CHF 32.30 per day. 1 month = 30 days.
Servicing, tyres, insurance, vignette and vehicle tax are already included in these figures. All you add is the diesel and any extras you choose, such as comprehensive cover.
How long does the subscription run?
At least 2 months, up to 24 months in the system. Longer on request. If you need the car longer than planned, extend it directly in your profile, as long as it’s available.
How do I pay?
In the first month, you pay the CHF 500 deposit, the first rate and any extras. After that, we invoice monthly. The deposit is refunded within a week of returning the car.
Pick up or have it delivered?
You pick up the key in Netstal around the clock, no appointment needed. Or we deliver the car anywhere in German-speaking Switzerland for CHF 190 and pick it up at the end for CHF 190.
Who is it for? And who isn’t it for?
A good fit: SMEs that need a few vehicles but don’t want to manage a fleet. Companies with projects or seasonal work. Anyone who’d rather have one line in the budget than ten.
Not a good fit: Anyone who wants a new car. We rent out used cars, which is why our prices are so low. And if you drive the same car for five years, buying or leasing often works out better.
In a nutshell
- In the rate? Servicing, tyres, insurance, vignette, vehicle tax
- Mileage? Unlimited
- Term? 2 to 24 months
- Payment? Monthly
- Pickup? In Netstal, around the clock

With leasing, people often read the small print only after signing. With us, it’s in the monthly rate.
