Carify, Carvolution or AABO: Who Offers the Best Car Subscription in Switzerland?
Comparing cars is fun. Comparing providers? Not so much. So where are the differences, and what should you watch out for in the fine print? We took the time to compare the three popular car subscription services: Carify, Carvolution, and AABO (yep, that’s us). If you’re a competitor reading this: don’t bother calling your lawyer. We may not be objective, but we are fair.
Who Has the Cheapest Long-Term Car Rental?
Let’s talk numbers: here’s what you’ll pay per day for the cheapest offer from each provider (as of April 16, 2025):
- CHF 31.30/day for a Renault Twingo with Carify
- CHF 44.50/day for an Audi A3 with Carvolution (3-month minimum)
- CHF 24.90/day for a Citroën C4 with AABO (no km limit)
Are we always the cheapest? If we were an alcohol-free beer in the 1980s, we’d say: no, but more and more often. The reason is simple: we buy smart, and we don’t have expensive managers or board members draining our budget. That savings? We pass it straight on to you.
Point for AABO.CH
Who’s Behind These Car Subscription Services?
Carvolution is backed by big names like Mobiliar and Ringier — no surprise the big Swiss newspaper with five letters loves writing about them. Carify is also linked to a major insurer, Zurich.
Us? We’re backed by... no one. Not even Glarner Krankenversicherung (yes, it’s real) wanted to sponsor a pine-scented air freshener in our cars.
We’re the only ones not pretending to be a startup — even though we are one. Our founders are still hands-on in the daily business – even in customer support. So when you call, you won’t hear “Press 1 for German…”, you’ll hear Dave.
Sympathy point goes to us.
What Kind of Insurance Do You Need with a Car Subscription?
Security is great — unless it’s overpriced. Now, if a car subscription is really just an extended insurance product... how do they make money?
100 points if you answered “insurance.” Sadly, you can’t redeem them here — but we’ve got another promo for you further down.
With Carify, you have to pick from one of three insurance packages. With Carvolution, full comprehensive coverage is mandatory.
With us? We only require the Swiss legal minimum: liability insurance. And you can even reduce the deductible to CHF 500 to save even more.
Another point for AABO.
Are You the Spontaneous Type When It Comes to Cars?
Planning is nice. Driving is better. But do you really want to wait a month for your car?
That’s often the case with Carify and Carvolution. First, the car needs to be registered in your name. You can only rent if you live in Switzerland and pass a credit check.
Minimum rental: 1 month with Carify, 3 months with Carvolution.
We’re way more chill. Flexible. Fast.
Book today, pick up tomorrow. Our key box lets you grab your car any time – even at midnight.
Even on Christmas.
We rent cars starting from just 10 days.
And your credit score? Not our problem. You pay upfront anyway.
Sorry if this is getting repetitive, but another point for us.
Which Car Subscription Has the Best Website?
Renting a car should be fun — even before you get in.
Who has the best website? We’ll let your eyes decide:
What you won’t see at first glance but will notice when booking:
- Ours isn’t just the most colourful — it’s the clearest.
- Only with us can you extend your rental directly in your profile.
- Want to filter by ((x)), ((y)), or ((z))? Only on our site.
- Need a car with a tow bar, bike rack, or child seats? No problem.
We say: point for us. Again.
Which Long-Term Car Rental Company Does the Best Comparison?
Like we said: we’re not neutral.
But feel free to scroll through how Carify and Carvolution compare with each other.
If you start yawning halfway through — we warned you.
We’ll let you decide who really comes out on top.
